The HVLteam participated in the Circular Economy Multiplicator Event at the VitemeirScience Center in Sogn og Fjordane.
The eventfocused on using design thinking, following the steps: Discover, Define,Develop, and Deliver, to foster dialogue and generate ideas.
The HVL team introduced the WHITECYCLE project by distributing textile productsamples from Mandals AS (lay-flat hoses and woven PET yarn) while explainingthe challenges of managing complex textile waste and the project's objectives.Following this, they led an interactive art workshop addressing the followingquestions:
The 29 participants discussed, sketched, andpresented vulnerabilities and needs, as well as practical and potentialsolutions to their daily waste challenges. Among the active participants wereemployees from Sygnir, a power company committed to the Green Shift;Vestlandsforskning, a local research institute focusing on environmentalissues, climate adaptation, and planning; and representatives from SIMAS, alocal recycling company.
The HVL team effectively raised awareness aboutWHITECYCLE through this engaging, hands-on experience.
